While mankind has strived to formulate such regulations to facilitate societal growth, the religious directive infuses an enhanced perspective of this life, through God-consciousness and an awareness of the higher objectives of living.

The Islamic legal discourse, at its most practical sense, not only addresses the spiritual and intellectual nature of man and life, but also seeks to enhance social and communal affairs, to achieve the holistic objectives set out by God. Two such areas of concern, are financial matters and civilian legal affairs. The traditional syllabus of Fiqh, discusses business dealings and criminal law, right to the minutiae, providing a comprehensive and detailed framework for the community to build its very own legal perspective.
