THE GREEN DEEN
Abu Dharr narrated that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The earth, is for you, a mosque. So, wherever you are when it is the time of prayer, pray there.”

Overview
NOTE: Due to the situation surrounding COVID-19, this course will be conducted online through Google Meet.
The angels questioned God’s decision to create this new being that would inhabit the earth. They argued that this creation would only commit corruption, and little good will sprout out of their existence. God responded to their claims, stating that He knows what the angels have no knowledge of. This is the heavenly dispute that we have been tasked to defy, till the end of times.
The essence of Tawhid is understanding who God is, and who we are, as creations of God. When God refers to mankind as “Khalifah Fi Al- Ardh”, stewards of the earth, it initiates some thought within our souls, regarding our association with the ground that our feet steps on everyday.
The signs of God are many, and not restricted to the literary texts that we recite or study. God commands us to witness His signs, the material creations of God, so that we can see The Truth no matter where we are. Do we still see those signs?
The balance of nature is in question, and the accountability of mankind is suspect. We were created from earth, and that in itself should spark a reform. One that sets us straight, towards a path of healing the heart and the earth.
This Ramadhan, it’s time, to green your Deen.
