Synopsis
Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said three times “The religion is sincere goodwill (an-naseehah).” They said, “To whom?” The Prophet said, “To Allah, to His Book, to the leaders of the Muslims and their common people.”

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as saying, “Six are the rights of a Muslim over another Muslim.” It was said to him, “Allah’s Messenger, what are these?” Thereupon he said, “When you meet him, offer him greetings; when he invites you to a feast accept it; when he seeks your council give him; and when he sneezes and says, ‘Alhamdulillah’(All praise is due to Allah), you say ‘Yarhamuka Allah’ (may Allah show mercy to you); and when he fails ill visit him; and when he dies follow his bier.”

Join us for a reading session of “Ayyuhal-Walad” (Dear Beloved Son) by Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, a timeless letter of heartfelt advice in response to a question about what is the most beneficial of all religious knowledge to have and act upon for the Hereafter, out of all the many things that students have to learn, especially in the era of information overload that we are in today.
This brief yet concise text distills the most essential knowledge needed for the Hereafter, offering guidance on the building blocks of a servant’s happiness and safety both in Dunya and Akhirah.
Reference
This session is based on the book “Ayyuhal-Walad” (Dear Beloved Son) by Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali. Book can be purchased at Wardah Books or PDF copy available here. Instructor will be complementing the sessions with his own presentation slides as well.

Registrants are welcome to join at any point of the season.
